Attention All 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th Grade Parents: NACS, in cooperation with True North Dental Group, is excited to offer a special dental care program for all students enrolled in second, third, sixth, and seventh grades. This program, funded by Community Schools Set-Aside Money, will provide free dental services to eligible students, including: ● Dental sealants on permanent molars ● Fluoride varnish ● A visual exam ● Oral hygiene instruction These services will be provided by a licensed dental hygienist at our school in March. Please complete the attached permission form and return it to the health office as soon as possible OR let us know if you’d like a permission form sent home with your child. Attention Parents and Guardians, We will continue to run a different period rotation until we return from February Break. Next week, the period rotation will be 4, 3, 2, and 1 and the week of January 27 we will run periods 3, 4, 1 and 2. We will continue alternating these two rotations weekly. until February break. . This is a reminder that next week is Regents week from Tuesday, January 21, to Friday, January 24. During this time, high school students will NOT have regular classes at NAC. We will be administering the Regents exams and Biology investigations. It is important to note that middle school students WILL have regular classes and should report to school daily. Please note that high school students should only report to school if they are taking a Regents exam or participating in a Biology investigation. The only exception to this protocol is for our Juniors and Seniors who attend CV-TEC. THERE IS NO CV-TEC on TUESDAY, JANUARY 21 and WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22. The CV-Tec students will receive transportation on Thursday and Friday following their usual schedule. This is just a reminder that the first Ski Club trip to Titus Mountain will be this upcoming Friday, January 3rd. Club members are asked to be on campus no later than 3:15 pm in order to board the bus to the mountain at 3:30 pm.

Thank you to everyone who helped NAC K-Kids, Builders Club, and Key Club promote and/or donated to this year's Food Drive. We collected 352 pounds of food! This will be shared with the food pantries in Altona, Churubusco, Ellenburg, and Lyon Mountain as well as NACS' Backpack Program. .Thank you for supporting our community!

Important Update: Changes to Bell Schedule Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope this message finds you well. I want to express my gratitude for your continued support as we navigate our school year together. I am writing to inform you of a change to our bell schedule when we return from the holiday on January 6. This adjustment aims to alleviate some of the attendance challenges we have been experiencing due to our current bus situation. Starting the week of January 6, the first four periods will rotate as follows: January 6 - January 10: 4, 3, 2, 1 January 13 - January 17: 3, 4, 1, 2 Please note that any seniors who usually have a late arrival may need to come to school at the regular start time if they have a scheduled class during the 3rd or 4th period. As a reminder we continue to offer after school academic support at all middle and high school grade levels, Tuesday - Thursday of each week. Other nights of academic recovery are available at students request. We will keep you informed of any future adjustments to our schedule as we work to improve attendance related to late bus runs. NAC Key Club recently volunteered at the Make A Wish booth in the mall. Builders Club and Key Club members also collected donations during lunches this week that will be sent to Make A Wish.

On December 11th, members of NHS and NJHS got into the holiday spirit by singing carols at the Alice Center, Farrar Home and Valley Ridge Manor Apartments in Malone. Students were able to give back to the community and were able to enjoy some yummy Chinese food too. Thank you to Mrs. Barkman and Mrs. Trombley for making this field trip possible.

NAC Builders Club would like to thank everyone who enjoyed Movie Night last Friday and those who brought items for the school wide Food Drive. 114 pounds of food was collected! Our goal is to beat last year's total of 378 lbs by December 19th -- it's not too late to drop off donations in either school building! Everything collected stays in our district.

NAC School Wide Food Drive from December 4 - December 19. All items stay local and will be donated to the Altona, Churubusco, Ellenburg, and Lyon Mountain food pantries as well as the NACS Backpack program. All items must be non-expired and non-perishable. Drop-off location - Donate items in the boxes under the Christmas Trees in the lobbies of both buildings. The drive is presented by NAC Key Club, Builders Club and K-Kids.
