On January 19th, NAC will be holding its Parent-Teacher conferences from 12:30-6:30 pm. Students will be dismissed at 11:30/11:40 am that day. Bobby Bobcat's Holiday Sing-Along returns to NAC Elementary! After a few years' break, students and staff ended the day before vacation with good old-fashioned sing-along. It's great to be able to foster community with fun all-school activities like this. "We WISH you a Merry ChristMAS... and a Happppeeee New Yearrrrrr!"

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023 elementary students will go back to eating lunch in the cafeteria. We continue to be a peanut and tree nut free district so when sending in lunches from home please keep this in mind. At this time, they will continue to eat breakfast in their classrooms.
Again this year, there has been no charge for breakfast and lunch due to the Universal Free Breakfast & Lunch Program. Students will now be able to purchase extras and ice cream when offered. You may add money to your child’s lunch account by sending cash or a check to school in a sealed envelope labeled with your child’s name and lunch number. All checks should be made out to NAC Cafeteria with your child’s name and lunch number in the memo section. Meal prices are listed below:

All elementary students will be sent home with one box that contains two COVID-19 test kits this week. Please be on the lookout for these tests in your student's bookbag. The expiration date on COVID-19 tests we are sending home have been extended by the FDA. Attached you will find the new expiration dates.
NAC Elementary is red, green, and FESTIVE! The colors of the season are everywhere this week as we enjoy the fun atmosphere of the week before Christmas break.
Northern Adirondack CSD Special Vote for the Real Property Acquisition was held yesterday from Noon-8pm.

I, the undersigned, District Clerk of the Northern Adirondack Central School District (the “District”) do hereby certify that the results set forth below are a correct and accurate summary of the ballots cast at the special meeting of the qualified voters of the District held on December 14, 2022;
Real Property Acquisition
RESOLVED, Shall the Board of Education of the Northern Adirondack Central School District (the “District”) purchase certain real property located at 5562 Route 11, Town of Ellenburg, County of Clinton (Tax Account No. 85.1-1-2) from the St. Edmunds Knights of Columbus at an estimated cost not to exceed $70,000, excluding the reasonable and necessary transaction costs incidental, which amount is equal to or less than the fair market value of the property and funded through an appropriation from the existing District Fund balance. The property will be utilized by the District to address the parking needs of the District.

Builders Club is kicking off its School-Wide Food Drive at tonight's Movie Night at the MS/HS auditorium. Bring your non-perishable, unexpired food and place it under the Christmas Trees in the Elementary and MS/HS by December 20.
The veggies are growing at NAC Elementary! Students visited the grow cart recently to check on the progress of the lettuce, carrots, and other vegetables. Thanks to Julie Filion for this amazing learning opportunity.
