Good evening NAC families and staff! This message is to inform you that we will be operating on a two hour delay tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 26th. Any update to this two hour delay will be shared tomorrow morning. We are waiting to see what the road conditions will be in the morning, before we decide on any further action. Good morning NAC families and staff! This afternoon there will be a wake at the funeral home near our school that involves a ceremonial 21 gun salute and a helicopter fly over. We are sharing this information to prevent anyone from being alarmed if they hear the ceremonial salute at some point between 1pm and 2pm today.

Families who have scheduled parent-teacher conferences for Thursday, January 19: we are aware of glitches in the online scheduling system which may mistakenly show your appointment in an alternate time zone. Please check that your confirmed appointment time is in Eastern Standard Time (EST). If you are unsure of your time, please email your child’s teacher to confirm. Despite their best efforts, the road crews are unable to provide a guarantee for safe travel on some roads this morning, and with the potential of snow all day today the situation does not get better. Despite the tremendous efforts of the road crews throughout our district, we are being advised that some roads in different areas are very slick and dangerous due to the overnight weather. They have requested more time to allow for them to make them safer for travel this morning, therefore NAC will operate on a two hour delay this morning, Friday, January 13th. If you must venture out, we are being told that the roads have been getting better related to ice, however there are many trees down or leaning into the roads preventing safe travel for our buses all over our district.
