Budget Work Session that was originally scheduled for today April 2, 2025 has been rescheduled to April 9, 2025 at 6pm in the Middle High School Auditorium.
And the winner of the 2025 March Madness Book Tournament is...... CREEPY CRAYON by Aaron Reynolds! NAC Elementary had a blast during the month of March watching video read-alouds by Librarian Mrs. Smallman and voting by class for which books would advance in the tournament bracket each day. Friday, March 31 was the finale - the Super Bowl of Books - and the voting was neck and neck! Thank you to all the parents who helped our students dress up to support their "team" and to classroom teachers who gave space in their crowded teaching days to participate in the 5th annual all-school reading event.
NAC 4th & 5th graders exhibited miniature artwork in a "Mini" Art Show in March. Our talented student artists have worked so hard on each piece displayed and it shows! Thank you to Ms. Lattrell, our Elementary Art Teacher, for creating the art installation for everyone to enjoy.

Good morning NAC families! As you may be aware, the New York State Education Department included a requirement for Schools to inform families as to when safety/emergency drills such as Fire, Evacuation, Lockdown, Lockout, or other safety/emergency drills will take place. NYSED does not require schools to give specifics including precise dates and times, but does require schools to notify families about drills that may occur during an upcoming school week. This requirement is to help reduce the potential stress and trauma that the required drills create for some of our students and their families. As we move forward with this new practice, you will occasionally receive information that safety/emergency drills will be conducted during an upcoming week. With that said, Northern Adirondack CSD will be conducting safety/emergency drills during the school week of March 31, 2025 to April 4, 2025 Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

During the month of March, NAC Elementary students have participated in the thrilling 5th annual March Madness Book Tournament! This year's theme is football, and the competition between books is intense! As we enter the semi-final "conference championships" round of competition, we are down to the last four challengers: "Bad Kitty
Does NOT Like Video Games" vs "So Cozy" and "Creepy Crayon" vs "Nugget and Fang." The final, "Super Bowl" championship round will be held Friday, March 28. Ask the elementary student in your life which book they will be voting for and encourage them to dress up in the color or costume that supports their book champion on Friday.

The NAC Elementary March Madness book tournament returns for its 5th year on March 3! This year the theme has changed to football, with the culminating Super Bowl of Books on March 28th.
Each day of March, students will watch read-aloud videos of that day's book contestants and vote as a class for which book they would like to advance in the competition bracket. At the end of the month, we'll have a champion! Students and staff are encouraged to dress up for the March 28 finale by donning an outfit in the colors, style, or characters of the favorite they're rooting for.
