FFA FALL FORMAL DANCE: Parents of students in grades 6-12 that plan on attending the dance this friday, please be reminded that students that are on the activity restrictions list will not be allowed to attend. All students failing 2 or more classes at the time of our 5 week progress report are currently on the activity restrictions list.

Starting on Monday, September 26th, will be spirit week in the middle/high school. Show your school spirit by participating in the following days: Monday: Class Color Day - Seniors: Pink - Juniors: Yellow - Sophomores: Orange - Freshmen: Blue - 8th Grade: Green - 7th Grade: Purple - 6th Grade: Red Tuesday: Tourist Tuesday - dress like a tourist! Wednesday: Western Wednesday - to wear a hat, there will be a dollar fee! Thursday: Superhero vs. Villain day - dress like your favorite superhero or villain! Friday: School Spirit Day - Dress head to toe in yellow and gold!

Attention parents of Student Athletes: It is important that you have joined the REMIND app that was provided by your child's coach. If you do not know how to join, please ask your child or the coach. Once you are part of that coaches group you will get messages from the coach at the exact time they have information available. It is the only way for coaches to communicate with you and their athletes and push important information out. In cases like today, when an emergency arises, you will receive information about practices and games as soon as the coaches know. This will eliminate the need for parents to call the office for updates and will also eliminate any misinformation that may be happening through the grapevine. Again, if you have not joined the REMIND of your child's coach please try to do that as soon as possible.

Good afternoon middle school parents: It appears that the website supply list for 7th grade had a few differences then the list that was sent to families electronically. If students don't have a certain supply for the first days of school, do not worry as the teachers will work with students to figure things out. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Open House for 6th grade students and parents will be Wednesday August 31st from 5pm to 7pm. There will be a short introduction in the Auditorium at 5pm and then parents and students can walk their students schedule, and meet their teachers. Hope to see you there!

Good morning NAC sports families: Here is some information on some upcoming practices. Varsity and JV practices start on Monday the 22nd and Modified practices (all athletes grades 7 and 8) do not begin until Monday the 29th. The nurse will be at school for ImPACT testing on the 22nd, 23rd and the 29th from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. Please make plans to have this testing completed before your first practice. Attention Parents of Student Athletes: Our on-line fall sports sign up page is now live. There may still be some bugs that we need to work out as we proceed with this process, so please be patient. To sign up, either click the following link: https://northernadirondackcs-ar.rschooltoday.com/ OR go to the middle school or high school website, choose "Student" on the menu, then "Athletics" and finally "Register for Sports". On the registration page please click on the NAC icon located in the center. Then click on "New User" and create a new account. You will need your child's lunch number for this process. Once in the forms, everything should be self directed. Attention Parents of Student Athletes: Our new online sports sign up system is scheduled for a test run on this Friday. If everything works correctly we plan to go live with on-line fall sports sign ups this coming Monday or Tuesday. Stay tuned for the announcement that our on-line sports sign up is ready.

Attention parents of student athletes in grades 7-12: Fall sports sign-ups will be online this year. We are putting the finishing touches on our new system and plan to roll it out in the next week or two. Be on the lookout for a posting on our website and Facebook page along with a robo-text when the system goes live.

Attention Baseball fans: For the next 3 days, there will be some exciting baseball being played at the Lyon Mountain Citizens Ballpark. The Saranac Lake Surge vs Japan Islanders on Friday - Sunday afternoon. Friday is a double header at 2pm and 4pm while the single games on Saturday and Sunday will be at 4pm. You heard this correctly, there will be an all Japanese team in Lyon Mountain to play baseball ⚾⚾ If you love baseball, this is a great opportunity to see a historic event in a great ballpark. Entry fee is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 6-16 and veterans.
