This memo is meant to provide clarity in regards to how information will be shared related to positive COVID-19 cases that the School District experiences from this point forward.
- 1-NAC will no longer be activating a voice/text message for every positive case as they occur
- 2-A new website/Facebook NEWS memo will not be generated for each individual positive case as they occur
- 3-All subjects deemed a close contact by the rules set forward by the Clinton County Health Department will be contacted by School District Personnel in the format bulleted below
- Unvaccinated Individuals - will continue to receive a phone call from School District Personnel with a date of contact and a duration of quarantine
- Vaccinated Individuals – will continue to receive an email that explains the CCHD suggestions for exposed vaccinated individuals
- 4-Quarantine Orders may or may not be distributed by School District Personnel – this is a result of the CCHD claiming to have the ability to take this role back over again, however we have recognized that when orchestrated by the School District Personnel it seemed to be a faster turnover rate so we will ask for the Quarantine Orders, but can only distribute what is shared with us by the CCHD (The School District does not generate these Quarantine Orders, we only have been distributing them)
- 5-A weekly COVID-19 update will be shared on Fridays with information on how many cases the School District has had for the week period from Saturday through Friday
- The first of these weekly updates will be shared this Friday and will only be shared using the website/Facebook NEWS option for transmission
- No individual voice/text message will be implemented for the weekly update
We would like to remind everyone that if your child is feeling sick, then you must keep them at home.
Upcoming Opportunities
- We are working with the Clinton County Health Department to arrange a vaccination clinic for ages 5 through 11 year old children when the opportunity is available (information will be shared when the opportunity becomes official)
- We are also working with the CCHD to arrange another vaccination clinic for those who are 12 and above including initial vaccination sequences and booster shots (information will be shared when the opportunity becomes official)
- Information regarding Symptomatic and Asymptomatic PCR Antigen testing for students will become available soon (when it is available the information will include what is required by parents/guardians for signing a student up for either or both of these testing options)
Thank you for your support in continuing to support our efforts during this challenging time.
